And almost no brand is marketing it properly.
I keep seeing airlines list pet policies in fine print that nobody reads.
Hotels adding “pet friendly” to their booking page and calling it a strategy.
Pet brands ignoring travel entirely, even though their customers are travelling with their animals every week.
Meanwhile, pet parents are making travel decisions based on their pets.
They choose destinations based on whether their dog is welcome.
They book accommodation based on reviews from other pet parents.
They avoid airlines with complicated or stressful pet policies, and they tell everyone about it.
This is a trust and community problem.
And it’s a huge opportunity for the brands willing to take it seriously.
Pet inclusive travel isn’t a niche anymore. It’s a market behaviour.
The brands that build real content, real community and real trust around this topic now will own the conversation. I’ve spent the past few years researching and writing about pet travel across Europe, reaching over 300K people organically on LinkedIn.
If you’re a pet brand, airline, hotel group, or travel platform thinking about this space, I’d love to connect.
