The global pet wearable market was valued at $3.37 billion in 2025 and is estimated to surpass $10 billion by 2033.
This is no surprise, every year, new wearables appear in the vast pet market because pet parents are investing more than ever in advanced products that improve the safety, health, and quality of life of their pets.
North America is dominating this niche with a 32,7% share of the market, with Asia Pacific, China and Japan following.
Smart collars lead the business with around 60,9% of market share in 2025, combining:
– GPS tracking
– Activity monitoring
– Health tracking
– Behaviour analysis
Last year, during the WMC’25, GlocalMe presented the world’s first petphone, which is already available on Amazon for 150$.
This year, the newest player is called PettiChat.
It’s not only a wearable, it translates your pet’s vocalizations and behaviour into human language using AI with a 95% accuracy.
It describes itself as the “world’s first real-time pet translator”.
A companion app designed to help you better understand your pet.
Behind the PettiChat brand stands Meng Xiaoyi, a Chinese startup founded in January 2026. The name “PettiChat” is their international brand, and the device is powered by Alibaba Cloud’s Qwen AI model.
With $1 million in angel funding, the project is currently in the pre-order/Kickstarter phase. Preorders opened on May 1, and the device has already crossed 10,000 reservations ahead of its official May 30 release, priced at 799 yuan (~$118). The app seems to be already available at Google Play and Apple App stores.
The company framed the product as a bond-building tool for pet parents, with chat history in the companion app and an integrated location feature. They are leaning heavily into emotional storytelling marketing:
“Every pet has its own language. We are just helping them speak it”
