What makes an ad great

I lost count of how many times I have watched this ad. 39 seconds of something created beautifully, cozy, and very relatable to start your week.

A nice example of what makes a great ad and great marketing.

And following that same pattern most marketers know. The best ads barely talk about a brand. They talk about a feeling, a lifestyle, something so “all of us” that you instantly feel understood.

I’m not even going to argue this point: nobody beats Argentina at making ads. Their creativity is on another level.

The launch of Omint Mascotas by Grupo Omint caught my attention last week. Most people will see it as “just another pet insurance product”.

But I see something new and much bigger.

When a healthcare company:

  • Partners with consumer trend experts
  • Validates demand through research
  • Designs 5 product tiers (including coverage for pre-existing conditions)
  • Builds both B2C and corporate sales funnels
  • Hosts experiential PR events where journalists bring their dogs (woohoo!) for health check-ups… (can they be more amazing?)

It sends a clear message to any wannabe-successful business: You can not overlook marketing. Marketing is the strategic growth engine behind market expansion.

But the bigger story is where the industry is heading.

Pets are becoming part of the broader family health ecosystem.

We’re moving from healthcare → household care.
From human wellness → Multi-species wellness.

And Omint isn’t just selling veterinary plans.

They’re positioning pet healthcare as a corporate benefit, an employee retention tool, and a reflection of how modern families actually live.

Can we have such an option in all of Europe, pretty please?

The product is interesting.
But the shift behind it is impossible to ignore 🧡

👉🏽 Would a pet healthcare plan (besides a pet friendly office) make you more likely to join or stay at a company?
👉🏽 I’m really intrigued. Did they use AI in the ad?
