Pet First hotels don’t need labels

You know the saying: don’t say it, show it. And honestly, I feel the same way about hospitality.

Pet parents don’t need big pet friendly labels, they just need signals. The moment you walk into a truly pet welcoming hotel, you feel it. Right at the entrance, the proof is already there.

The Swedish-based Ligula Hospitality Group truly gets it. Across their entire portfolio, including ProfilHotels, they provide genuine pet inclusive hospitality, moving beyond ‘pets allowed’ to a guest experience actually designed with animals in mind.

Their pet friendly experience includes:
→ A breakfast goodie bag for your dog at check-in
→ A dog station at the entrance with paw towels, water, and dog biscuits
→ Convenient parking and nearby dog walking areas
→ Pets are welcome in the breakfast room

Hospitality brands that adopt a true Pet-First strategy gain:
→ Higher occupancy during shoulder and off-peak seasons
→ Longer average stays, especially for roadtrip travellers
→ Higher ADR through premium room categories, suites, and pet oriented upgrades
→ More direct bookings because pet parents actively search for trusted hotels they can return to
→ Stronger guest loyalty and repeat stays once trust is established
→ Better online reviews and social media visibility from emotionally engaged travelers

And I just realised, this is actually part of the hotel group where I stayed at last summer (I was in one of their GoodMorning Hotels brand), and they allow cats too. Yes! Forever staying at one of their hotels whenever I’ll be in Sweden.

Isn’t it fantastic when they truly understand what travelling with pets should feel like? 🧡
